The second season of the US-favourite reality show concluded in March, leaving fans hungry for more plots, treasons, and mysteries. Luckily, the next instalment of The Traitors is on its way, and we’re getting the first glimpse of what it will look like.
Based on the Danish De Verraders format, the show has taken American audiences by storm. The first US season was a smash hit in 2023, with the atmosphere of the Scottish castle and the backstabbing contestants captivating the nation.
After the success of The Traitors US season 2, another instalment was only a matter of time. In February 2024, renewed the show for season 3 – here is everything we know so far.
When do new episodes of The Traitors US season 3 release?
For now, Peacock hasn’t revealed any premiere date for season 3.
However, season 2 was released a year after season 1. If the creators follow this pattern, the third instalment may be released at the beginning of 2025.
What will season 3 of The Traitors US be about?
The show’s formula will remain the same. An old castle in the Scottish Highlands will bring together 21 contestants to compete for a maximum $250,000 cash prize. Before they get it, however, they will have to face various physical and intellectual challenges to build up the pot.
Adding to the difficulty is that several ‘traitors’ are hiding in the team and plotting against the ‘faithfuls’ to take their money. Each night, the villains will choose a person to murder and be removed from the programme. The group must deduce who the potential traitor might be and decide to banish that participant.
Just like the second season, this edition will feature celebrities exclusively. Of course, we’re expecting to see some brand new challenges.
